FOX should fire John Gibson: You can help, ACT now!

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation/GLAAD has denounced FOX News radio host John Gibson's behavior, and just released the following call to action.

January 24, 2008

In the wake of Heath Ledger’s death, people around the world are mourning the gifted actor’s passing and are expressing their appreciation for how he changed hearts and minds with his Oscar-nominated role as a gay cowboy in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain.

In a stark and disturbing contrast, Fox News Radio host John Gibson cruelly mocked Ledger’s death and his role in Brokeback Mountain during his Jan. 22 John Gibson Show radio broadcast. During the show, Gibson played an audio clip from the film of Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, Jack, telling Ennis (played by Ledger), "I wish I knew how to quit you." Gibson then coldly quipped, "Well, he found out how to quit you." Then, after playing another audio clip from the movie of Ledger’s character saying, "We're dead," Gibson mockingly said, "We’re dead" and played the clip again.

“Gibson’s remarks are vulgar and disgusting,” said Rashad Robinson, GLAAD’s Senior Director of Media Programs. “It’s sickening that Gibson would exploit Heath Ledger’s tragic death to promote such hurtful intolerance. And to do so at a time when family and friends are grieving shows a level of insensitivity that is beyond the pale.”

Beyond his mockery of Ledger’s role in Brokeback Mountain, Gibson called the actor a "weirdo" with "a serious drug problem," and callously speculated on the reasons Ledger might have committed suicide. Gibson had previously mocked Brokeback Mountain--calling it a "gay agenda movie" on his Fox News TV program in 2006.

MAD for the MAD GREEK!

The MAD GREEK Cafe in Baker, Nevada has been a favorite of mine since I can remember. Born cash poor in Colorado, I was never fortunate enough to fly anywhere. So in order to get to California, we drove. Thank the lord Jesus above too! Because I discovered the MAD GREEK, and have been going for 25 years!

Drop in, Have a GYROS, and Drive Safe!

I give it 2 thumbs WAY UP!!

Enjoy a Gyros with me, here in this Video I made! :-)

Ritz Carlton San Francisco: A Peak at the Presidential Life

So this past weekend my partner in crime and I went to San Francisco, CA. We stayed at the lovely Ritz Carlton, San Fran and it was great fun.

Great Bell staff, management, valet staff, front desk staff were great too! The Ritz Club staff were very attentive and professional, as well as the club was continually refreshed with tempting goodies, sweets, and tea sandwiches.

One low note, the Concierge staff were a bit tired/old school/out of step,(and slightly bitter in my opinion), in their perceived idea of what Ritz high end service is. Completely and unwilling to help. Maybe they need to be refreshed on what the job description for what a CONCIERGE is AND DOES. That wasn't a question.

Or maybe I am wrong, and they were just new at the job, and didn't grasp the qualities of the Concierge level of service I am accustom to. Their loss, not mine, as the city is an obvious buffet of entertainment.
The Lobby flowers were really gorgeous oranges.

One other issue, was when we arrived, they had us booked for an tiny room. The WRONG room, so we were left there for like 5 hours until our suite was ready. The hotel completely made up for their error, and went above and beyond for the mishap. Applause to the Ritz Carlton in San Fran for a job well done.

Here is a video of the TINY room I made, while there. I just didn't know what to do with myself. It was claustrophobic! lol Just kidding.

THIS is the correct room, Welcome to our suite, numero uno!

A view from the room by Jeremiah Christopher

The rooms where great! From regular rooms, to a One Bedroom suite, to the Presidential suite.

Here are a few photos of the various rooms, and some fun videos I made while in them. Enjoy!
Jeremiah Christopher

The first is a dressing area in our one bedroom. It was nice to have for sure.

The above photo in the middle, is looking through the Presidential suite, into the bedroom. The one on the bottom right is of the dinning room. See a short video of the suite below.

I love San Francisco. It is a beautiful city, that I am thankful to be able to have gone to, over the years. Please try to get there, sooner than later!

Here is a little video with Jeremiah at the Ritz.

Another interesting spot we went, was to Buena Vitsa Park, and the surrounding area. The contrasting subject matter was interesting and disturbing. It made me think a ton about who, when, what, why... Watch and you'll understand.

Strange place to end up in, in this blog, I know. Did you check out the Floating Sushi Boat blog yet? LOL!

Enjoy your trip to SF!
